Zoisite

Zoisite

Zoisite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Zoisite is a calcium aluminum sorosilicate, Ca₂Al₃(SiO₄)₃(OH), crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. It occurs in green, gray, pink, yellow, blue-violet, and other colors; tanzanite and thulite are well-known varieties.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms in metamorphic and hydrothermal environments, especially altered mafic rocks, schists, amphibolites, and skarns.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Zoisite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
