Volcano Agate

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Volcano Agate is a trade name for agate/chalcedony formed in volcanic host rock and marketed for dramatic banding, plumes, cavities, and iron-rich colors. Mineralogically it is silica-rich chalcedony.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Silica-bearing hydrothermal fluids repeatedly filled vesicles and fractures in volcanic rock, producing layered agate and druzy quartz.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Volcano Agate is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its slowly accumulated silica textures provide a visual metaphor for stability built through repeated small changes rather than one sudden event. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
