Tugtupite
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Tugtupite is a beryllium aluminum silicate chloride mineral in the sodalite group, typically pink, red, white, or blue-green. Many specimens fluoresce brightly and are tenebrescent.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms in highly alkaline igneous complexes, especially the Ilímaussaq complex in Greenland, with sodalite, nepheline, eudialyte, and other rare minerals.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Tugtupite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
