Thulite
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Thulite is the pink to red manganese-bearing variety of zoisite, Ca₂Al₃(SiO₄)₃(OH). It typically occurs as massive granular material rather than transparent crystals.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms in metamorphic rocks where zoisite incorporates manganese. Norway is the classic source, with additional deposits in several metamorphic terrains.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Thulite is traditionally associated with compassion, emotional honesty, self-worth, and healthy connection. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for softening defensive reactions while preserving clear personal boundaries. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
