Thomsonite
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Thomsonite is a zeolite-group mineral, most commonly thomsonite-Ca, forming radiating, fibrous, nodular, or prismatic aggregates in white, pink, green, yellow, and other colors.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms in cavities of basaltic rocks during low-temperature alteration and is especially famous from Lake Superior basalt pebbles in Minnesota and Michigan.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Thomsonite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
