Seraphinite
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Seraphinite is a gem trade name for chatoyant green clinochlore, a chlorite-group mineral. Silvery feather-like patterns are produced by oriented mica-like chlorite crystals.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
The best-known material comes from metamorphic rocks in Siberia, Russia, where chlorite formed during alteration and metamorphism of magnesium-rich rocks.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Seraphinite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
