Rhodusite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Rhodusite is an old varietal name commonly applied to blue-gray fibrous sodic amphibole material, often related to magnesio-riebeckite/crocidolite-group chemistry. It is not a separate modern IMA species.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms in metamorphic iron-rich and sodium-rich rocks where amphiboles crystallize under regional metamorphic conditions.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Rhodusite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.

KEY PROPERTIES

ACCURACY / TRADE-NAME NOTE
Historical trade/varietal term. Fibrous amphibole may be asbestiform; never cut, sand, or inhale dust.
