Pistachio Calcite
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Pistachio Calcite is a color or growth-habit variety of calcite, calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). Calcite crystallizes in the trigonal system, has perfect rhombohedral cleavage, and reacts readily with dilute acid.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Calcite forms in sedimentary carbonate rocks, hydrothermal veins, caves, metamorphic marbles, and ore deposits. Color and crystal habit change with trace elements, inclusions, temperature, fluid chemistry, and growth rate.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Pistachio Calcite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
