Pietersite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Pietersite is a brecciated chatoyant chalcedony/tiger-eye-related material containing fibrous amphibole-derived structures within quartz. It displays swirling gold, blue, red-brown, and gray chatoyancy.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It formed through fracturing and silicification of fibrous iron-rich rock, followed by repeated quartz deposition and brecciation. Classic sources are Namibia and China.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Pietersite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
