Paragonite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Paragonite is a sodium aluminum mica, NaAl₂(AlSi₃O₁₀)(OH)₂. It resembles muscovite but contains sodium instead of potassium and commonly occurs as fine white, gray, or pale mica aggregates.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms primarily in metamorphic rocks such as schists and phyllites under medium-pressure conditions, often with kyanite, garnet, chlorite, and quartz.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Paragonite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
