Nuummite is a metamorphic rock composed largely of intergrown amphiboles, especially anthophyllite and gedrite, in a dark matrix. Iridescent gold, copper, blue, or green flashes are produced by oriented amphibole crystals.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Authentic Nuummite is associated with very old metamorphic rocks near Nuuk, Greenland, where Archean rocks experienced intense metamorphism and deformation.
