Mugglestone
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Mugglestone is a trade name for a banded iron-rich lapidary rock closely related to tiger iron, commonly combining red jasper, hematite/magnetite, and chatoyant tiger-eye-like quartz.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms through ancient iron-rich sedimentation followed by silicification, metamorphism, deformation, and replacement that produce alternating silica and iron-oxide bands.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Mugglestone is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
