Mordenite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Mordenite is a zeolite-group aluminosilicate, commonly represented as (Na₂,Ca,K₂)Al₂Si₁₀O₂₄·7H₂O. It forms fibrous, acicular, radiating, or massive white, cream, pink, and colorless aggregates.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It forms at low temperatures during alteration of volcanic rocks and ash, in basalt cavities, and in sedimentary zeolite deposits. It commonly occurs with stilbite, heulandite, calcite, and other zeolites.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Mordenite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
