Mimetite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Mimetite is a lead arsenate chloride mineral, Pb₅(AsO₄)₃Cl, in the apatite group. It crystallizes in the hexagonal system and commonly forms yellow, orange, brown, or green prismatic, barrel-shaped, botryoidal, and acicular crystals.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
It is a secondary mineral in the oxidized zones of lead-arsenic deposits, forming from the weathering of galena, arsenopyrite, and related ores. Classic localities include Mexico, Namibia, England, Australia, and the United States.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Mimetite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance, resilience, and intentional personal growth. Its natural structure, color, and geological history provide a symbolic framework for approaching change with greater awareness. Practitioners commonly use it as a contemplative aid for reflecting on priorities and choosing a more deliberate response instead of reacting automatically. These associations are part of crystal traditions and are not scientifically established medical effects.
