Kundalini Citrine
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Kundalini Citrine is a trade and growth-habit name for yellow to smoky quartz from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in which a larger central crystal is surrounded by generations of smaller quartz crystals. Mineralogically it is quartz, SiO₂. The yellow-brown color reflects iron-related defects and may grade into smoky coloration.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
These clusters form in hydrothermal quartz veins and cavities where repeated silica-rich growth episodes allow smaller crystals to nucleate around an earlier central point. Commercial material is strongly associated with the Lwena region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Treatment status should be evaluated carefully because 'citrine' is widely heat-treated in the global market, although Congo material is often sold as natural.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Kundalini Citrine is traditionally associated with creativity, confidence, motivation, personal will, grounding, and turning intention into sustained effort. Its central crystal surrounded by smaller points provides strong symbolism of one core purpose generating many practical actions.

ACCURACY / TRADE-NAME NOTE
Trade/growth name for quartz, not a separate mineral species. Natural-versus-treated color should not be assumed solely from the trade name.
