K2 Jasper
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
K2 Jasper is a Crystal Council trade name for Madagascar material visually resembling K2: pale granitic or feldspathic rock with blue copper-mineral spots. It is not true jasper, and the exact identity of the blue phase and host should be verified for individual material rather than assumed from appearance alone.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Commercial K2 Jasper is reported from Madagascar, where granitic and pegmatitic terrains can host secondary copper mineralization. If the blue spots are azurite or related copper carbonates, they formed after the host rock through copper-bearing fluids and oxidation. This makes the material a multi-stage rock association rather than one homogeneous mineral.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
K2 Jasper is traditionally associated with grounding intuitive ideas, dream reflection, truth, and translating inspiration into a usable direction. Its contrasting blue and pale matrix symbolizes insight that remains connected to practical reality.
