Himekawa Yakuseki is a Japanese trade/locality name applied to mineralized hot-spring-derived rock sold in the wellness and crystal market. Material associated with this name is often described as barite-rich and may contain other sulfate, carbonate, silicate, and trace radioactive components. It should not automatically be equated with true Hokutolite, a specific lead-bearing barite from protected hot-spring localities.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Barite-rich hot-spring deposits form when barium-bearing waters mix with sulfate-rich fluids and precipitate BaSO₄ around geothermal vents and channels. Similar mineralized rocks in Japan can also include altered volcanic material.
