Hackmanite With Ijolite

Hackmanite With Ijolite

Hackmanite With Ijolite

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Hackmanite With Ijolite is a combination rock in which blue to violet hackmanite occurs within dark ijolite. Hackmanite is a tenebrescent sodalite variety, while ijolite is an alkaline igneous rock composed mainly of nepheline and clinopyroxene, often with garnet, titanite, apatite, calcite, cancrinite, and other accessory minerals.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Commercial material is associated with the Ice River alkaline complex in British Columbia, Canada. Ijolite formed from silica-undersaturated alkaline magma, and sodalite-group mineralization developed within the same unusual sodium-rich environment. The contrasting blue hackmanite and dark matrix record multiple phases of crystallization and alteration.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Hackmanite With Ijolite is traditionally associated with intuition, grounding, self-discovery, and balancing expanded perspective with practical awareness. Hackmanite contributes symbolism of hidden potential, while the dense igneous matrix reinforces stability and embodiment.
