Chlorite on Quartz consists of quartz crystals whose exterior surfaces became coated by chlorite-group minerals after or during late stages of quartz growth. Quartz is silicon dioxide (SiO₂), while chlorite represents a family of magnesium-, iron-, and aluminum-bearing sheet silicates. Coatings may be pale green, dark green, gray, or brown and can range from thin films to dense powdery or platy layers.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
The combination forms in hydrothermal and metamorphic environments where silica-rich fluids first produce quartz and later fluids become favorable for chlorite precipitation. Chlorite can coat faces, collect in growth recesses, or partially envelop existing quartz. Important specimens occur in Alpine-type fissures and hydrothermal deposits across Pakistan, Nepal, Brazil, China, Europe, and North America.

Chlorite on Quartz is traditionally associated with cleansing, renewal, grounding, and bringing spiritual reflection back into practical life.
