Cherry Tanzurine
SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Cherry Tanzurine is a trademarked trade name for reddish to pink quartz-rich material from Tanzania containing fine mica-group inclusions, commonly described as lepidolite-bearing quartz. The host mineral is quartz, SiO₂, while the included mica creates color, sparkle, and internal texture. It is not a separate mineral species.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
The material forms in granitic pegmatitic or quartz-rich environments where silica crystallizes in association with lithium-bearing mica and related accessory minerals. Pegmatites concentrate unusual elements during the final stages of magma crystallization, allowing quartz and mica to develop together in coarse or included material.
METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Cherry Tanzurine is traditionally associated with enthusiasm, emotional renewal, creativity, and bringing heart-centered intentions into action. Its reddish-pink color combines symbolism of warmth and affection with the focusing qualities traditionally assigned to quartz. It is often used for reconnecting with motivation after emotional fatigue or hesitation.
