Blue Dolomite is a blue-colored variety of dolomite, CaMg(CO₃)₂, a carbonate mineral that crystallizes in the trigonal system. Dolomite commonly forms rhombohedral crystals and massive aggregates. Blue coloration is uncommon and reflects local trace elements, defects, or inclusions rather than a distinct mineral species.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Dolomite occurs in sedimentary carbonate rocks, hydrothermal veins, metamorphic marbles, and altered limestones. Some rare blue crystal material has been reported from Colombia and other mineralized carbonate environments, commonly associated with calcite, pyrite, or dark matrix minerals.
