Antlerite is a copper sulfate hydroxide mineral with the formula Cu₃SO₄(OH)₄. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic system and usually occurs in bright to dark green acicular, prismatic, fibrous, or crust-like forms. Its vivid green color is produced by copper.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Antlerite is a secondary mineral that forms in the oxidized zones of copper deposits, especially under relatively acidic and arid conditions. It commonly occurs with brochantite, atacamite, chrysocolla, malachite, and other oxidized copper minerals. The type locality is the Antler Mine in Arizona.
