Angel Aura Quartz is not a naturally occurring quartz variety. It is natural or synthetic quartz that has been permanently coated in a vacuum chamber with an extremely thin metallic film, commonly using platinum and/or silver and sometimes other metals. The interference colors arise from light interacting with this nanoscale surface coating.
GEOLOGY & FORMATION
The quartz substrate forms naturally through ordinary hydrothermal or pegmatitic processes, but the iridescent 'aura' surface is created after mining through vapor deposition. Because the color is treatment-derived, it should always be described transparently as treated quartz rather than a naturally iridescent mineral.

Angel Aura Quartz is traditionally associated with joy, upliftment, spiritual connection, and expanded awareness.
