Amegreen

SCIENCE / MINERALOGY
Amegreen is a trade name used for mixed quartz material displaying purple amethyst, green quartz commonly marketed as prasiolite, and clear or milky quartz. It is therefore not a separate mineral species; the principal mineral is quartz, SiO₂. Color boundaries may reflect multiple growth zones, alteration, or treatment history.

GEOLOGY & FORMATION
Quartz color zoning develops when changing fluid chemistry, trace elements, irradiation, oxidation state, and temperature affect successive growth stages. Material sold as Amegreen has been associated with South African deposits. Because green quartz can also be produced by heating or irradiation, treatment disclosure is important when provenance is uncertain.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Amegreen is traditionally interpreted as a bridge between heart-centered awareness and higher perception. The green component is associated with compassion, balance, and emotional renewal, while the amethyst component symbolizes intuition, perspective, and spiritual reflection. Together, the material is used for integrating emotion with insight and for approaching personal growth from a calmer, more compassionate state.

ACCURACY NOTE
Trade name for mixed/color-zoned quartz. Natural versus treated green coloration should not be assumed without provenance.
